This is all very new!

Gosh, well here goes for my very first blog post!

I am a crafter, always have been and I always will be. Embroidery, knitting, crochet and card making are pretty high up on the list of hobbies for me and i am always looking for a project to begin or a craft to learn.

I remember when I got my first cross stitch kit, I was about 7 and it was a little bear sitting on a moon with some stars around it. I remember it because twenty years later is it still up on my bedroom wall. I'm hooked! I have stitched small projects such as people's initials right up to larger fire screens and baby samplers, nothing is too taxing!

In a dream world, I would love to quit my job and open up a craft workshop/store but the reality is this wont happen for a while. I think about it all of the time, morning, noon and night. Last year I discovered an online community that crafters (or artisans) can list their crafts to sell. Well that store didn't do so well and now I have joined up to Artfire which was recommended to me. My store, Butterfly-Crafts, is in it's infancy and I hope to get it up to speed soon along with this blog and my facebook group.

My plan for my blog is to blog about setting up an online craft store, new crafts I discover and anything quirky! Please join me on this journey.

Welcome to Artfire; although things are a little slow there right now, I think it's going to become a popular spot within the next year.

You are creating wonderful cards. I particularly like the Pink Champaigne Glass Card. I had ideas of paper mixed media work for awhile and have tons of supplies to go there, but got sidetracked with fabric .... mayble a little later !

Good Luck in you new shop
